Ruth Simpkins

Ruth Simpkins, age 91, formerly of Hancock's Bridge passed away Monday, November 12th in Carneys Point Care. 

Born in Shiloh on September 12th 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth Van Dusen Simpkins.  Mrs. Simpkins was a past president of the Rebecca Assembly of New Jersey.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and making her own clothes.  Mrs. Simpkins is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth Baker of FL and Judy Bucks of PA.  She is predeceased by her husband, David Simpkins; brothers, James, Harold and Lewis; sisters, Mary Moore, Catherine Clapper, Doris Halcomb and Anne Johnson. 

Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, November 16th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM.  Burial will be in Salem Baptist Cemetery.  Donations in Mrs. Simpkins' memory may be sent to the American Heart Association, 200 Continental Dr., #101, Newark, DE 19713.
