Peggy Ann Kavanaugh

Peggy Ann Kavanaugh, age 80, of Salem passed away on Thursday, October 25th. 

Born in Salem, she was the only child of the late John and Matilda "Tillie" McCormick Kavanaugh.  Peggy was a graduate of Salem High School, class of 1955,  a graduate of Glassboro State College, class of 1967 and she earned her Master's Degree.  Before her retirement, Peggy was a teacher who taught in the Penns Grove School system for 25 years.  She was a life time member of the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Salem and she belonged to many charitable organizations. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 31st in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 25 Oak Street, Salem.  Friends may call at WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 34 Oak Street, Salem from 9:30 to 10:45 on Wednesday before the Mass. Burial will be in St. Mary's Church Cemetery.  Donations in Peggy's memory may be sent to St. Gabriel, the Archangel, 369 Georgetown Rd., Carneys Point, NJ 08069.
