Norman Simpkins Sr., age 89, of Elsinboro, passed away Thursday, March 1st at his home.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Clark (Pete) and Laura Welch Simpkins. Mr. Simpkins was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He was employed by the Atlantic City Electric Co. retiring with 40 years of service. Norman was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church of Salem where he enjoyed attending for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hurst Simpkins; his son, Norman Simpkins, Jr. (Mary Ann) of Salem; his daughter, Karen Smuz of Fl; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 7th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 34 Oak St., Salem where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Salem Baptist Cemetery.
