Norma E. Remster, age 87, of Alloway passed away Tuesday, March 13th at her home. Born in Salem Hospital, she was the daughter of the late Floyd & Bertha Hitchner.
Norma was employed by the JC Penney Co. in Salem as an executive secretary than later in life, she was an assistant at the Alloway School as well as a homemaker. She was a lifetime member the Alloway Township Senior Circle and a member of the Alloway Baptist Church. Norma, who was raised by her grandparents, Joseph and Helen Butcher of Alloway, loved being a grandmother and attended her grandchildren's sports activities. Norma is survived by her daughters, Debra Ahl (James) of Alloway and Donna Remster Sippel (Roy) of Old New Castle, DE; sister, Doris E. Williams; grandchildren, Joshua, Bleigh (Darlin), Jonathan (Anna) and Zachary; great grandchildren, Trinity, Kelly Lee, Jael, Michael, Snow and Tristan. She is predeceased by her husband, George L. Remster; sister, Sherry Massey; as well as many aunts, uncles and sister and brother in laws.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 17th in the Salem County Veteran's Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
