Janice Lynn "Janny" Bernard, age 60, of Lower Alloway's Creek passed away Sunday, September 17th in the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. Born in Salem, Janny is the daughter of Georgianna Halter Carll and the late James L. Carll, Sr. She was the owner and designer of Picky-Picky Floral Designs, as well as the owner of the Maskell's Mill Bake Shop. Janny was a member of the Fenwick Grange No.20 of LAC and an associate member of the Old Oak Lodge No.6 FOP. She also was the Director of the Mickey Bowman Food pantry of the 1st Baptist Church of Salem for 17 years and a Meals on Wheels volunteer. Janny enjoyed gardening, antiques and yard sales but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Bernard; her daughters, Bethany Bernard Vohringer (Dan) of Upper Deerfield, Betsy Bernard Settelen (Scott) of Wilmington, DE and ViAnna Bernard of Elsmere, DE; her mother-in-law, Margaret Bernard; brothers, James L. Carll, Jr (Mikki) of LAC and George Carll of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Joan Heil of Salem, Jennifer Carll-Simon (Paul) of Shiloh and Jean Sharp (Eric) of LAC; aunt, Joan Davis of Glenn Mills, PA; her grandchildren, Dusty Rose Settelen and Maggie Mae Settelen; and numerous cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:30 Saturday, September 23rd in the Friesburg Lutheran Cemetery, 366 Cohansey Friesburg Rd., Elmer, NJ 08318. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Mickey Bowman Food Pantry, c/o Ben Griffith, 6 Van Meter Terrace, Salem, NJ
