Irving S. Wood, age 92, of Quinton went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at his home. Born in Cedarville, NJ he was the son of the late Charles and Maude Davis Wood. Mr. Wood was a US WWII Army veteran who served under General Patten in the 749th tank battalion. Before his retirement, he was a supervisor for the EI DuPont Chambers Works. Irv was an active member of the Quinton United Methodist Church and a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 1966 of Salem. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and gardening. Irv is survived by his daughters, Eileen Gotwals (Wayne) of Salem and Marsha Walters (Robert) of Salem; his grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie and Ryan; and his great-grandchildren, David, Dylan and Kai. He is predeceased by his wife, Jacquelyn Owen Wood; and his son, John Craig Wood.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 15th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
