Charles A. Franklin, age 61, of Lower Alloways Creek passed away peacefully Monday, January 1st at his home surrounded by his family after a two year battle with cancer. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Donald and Dolores (Betty) Biddle Franklin. Charles was a self-employed commercial fisherman. He enjoyed being outdoors while hunting, fishing, crabbing and trapping and he enjoyed country music and dancing. Charles was a generous man who loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, the former Cheryl Clour; son, Charles A. Franklin, Jr. (Tonya) of LAC; daughters, Tanya Craycraft (Alan) of LAC, Sabrina Kohrherr of DE and Stephanie Franklin (Jammie Blair) of LAC; brothers, Scotty Franklin of Philadelphia, Harry Franklin of LAC and John Franklin of Stow Creek; sisters, Anna Franklin of Quinton and Suzanne Franklin of Quinton; and eleven grandchildren. Charles is predeceased by his brother, Ginger Franklin; and sister, Jeanie Harris.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 5th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp., where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Canton Baptist Cemetery.
