Betty Jane Shipman

Betty Jane Shipman, age 78, of Quinton passed away Saturday, March 3rd in Friend's Village at Woodstown. 

Born in Rockbridge County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ruffner and Laura Wheeler Sorrels.  Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a member of the Alloway Vets Ladies Auxiliary.  Betty is survived by her husband, William Shipman; her sons, Gary Shipman (Shelley) and Keith Shipman (Kelly), both of Alloway; her daughter, Kim Waddington (Bert) of Mannington; brother, Marshall Sorrels of DE and Wayne Sorrels of Carneys Point; nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her sister, Mary Grubisich; and brother, Bill Sorrels. 

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 10th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 10:00 AM.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd.
