Barbara (Frey) Morris

Barbara Frey Morris of Alloway Township, NJ passed away on July 7, 2018 after a 9-year battle with cancer.

She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Morris, Jr., the devoted mother of Kelly Jean Helms and son-in-law Jason., and loving Nana to grandson Hank Richard Helms. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Gleasman (Howard) of Boonville, NY and her Seashore sister Mary DeSimone (Lee) of Lake Harmony, PA. She is also survived by her “listener/coach” Kathy Morris and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, William O. Frey and Mitzie Frey.

Born in Easton, PA, she lived in Ohio and Boonville, NY before coming to South Jersey. She is a Penns Grove High School graduate and attended Salem Community College.  She worked beside her parents in the newspaper and printing business. She served as a photographer and Photo Editor of their newspaper, the Penns Grove Record.  During her time with the newspaper, she and her mother captured in print and photo many public and community events in Salem County. See loved the cats that became a part of her life and feeding the wild animals from birds to squirrels. She loved the Frey Family reunions and her summers and free time at her beloved Mockingbird at Seashore Campsites in Cape May with her dearest friends. There she had the largest crop of plants and flowers.  She loved traveling the campground in her golf cart talking to everyone on the way.

Donations can be made in her memory to the Alloway Township Ambulance Corp, PO Box 123, Alloway, NJ 08001, Alloway Township Fire Company, PO Box 875, Alloway, NJ 08001 or any Animal Shelter of your choice. Viewing and services will take place Wednesday, July 11, at the Woodside Funeral Home, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd (Rt49), Quinton, NJ.  Visitation will be from 10 AM to 11 AM with services at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in Lawnside Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
