Roberta R. Waddington, age 88, of Salem passed away Friday, April 21st. Born in Sea Isle, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary Gable Waddington. Before her retirement, Ms. Waddington was the secretary for the manager of Anchor Glass of Salem. She was a member of the Salem Friends Meeting. Ms. Waddington enjoyed exploring the history of her home of 81 years that was built in the 1700s, tracing the genealogy of the Waddington and Gable families, crossword puzzles and reading. She is survived by her three furry friends, Tammy, Rusty and Baby Bear; 12 nieces and nephews from NJ, CT, GA, NC, VA and HI. Ms. Waddington is predeceased by her brothers, Earl M. Jr. and Percival Waddington; her sisters, Marian Johnson, Marie Thomas, Diana Skinner and Irene Pew; and grandnephew, William M. Lawrence, Jr. Private graveside services will be held at Salem Friends Meeting Cemetery.
