Lois J. (Bennett) ColemanFebruary 3, 1936 ~ September 12, 2017 (age 81)
Lois J. Coleman, age 81, of Hancock's Bridge, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem Co. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Dorothy Mae Bennett (nee Hurlbut). Lois worked for over 20 years as a nurse for Memorial Hospital of Salem Co. and also with the office of Dr. Staub in Salem. She was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and Ranch Hope. Lois was a member of LAC Ladies Auxillary, and Hancock's Bridge United Methodist Church. Lois is survived by her sons, George "Skip" Coleman Jr. (Dottie) of LAC and David P. Coleman of Hancocks Bridge. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Heidi Garcia (Dave Spence), Brook Davis (Davey), David Jr. (DJ), & Madison Coleman; great-grandchildren Alexis and Shane Garcia, Chase and Austin Davis; and her beloved dog Minnie. Dear sister of William Bennett, Bruce Bennett, Marilyn (Meme), Sandra Hassler (Eddie), Ruthie Abbott (James), Judy Eckstein, the late Neil Bennett, & late Barbara Zulauf. Aunt to 14 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband the late George C. Coleman Sr. "Pud".
Services will be held 11AM Saturday, September 16th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 613 Salem-Quinton Rd., Rt. 49, Quinton Twp. where friends may call after 9AM.. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Hancock's Bridge United Methodist Church, PO Box 62, Quinton, NJ 08072 or LAC Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box 161, Hancock's Bridge, NJ 08038.
