James E. Temmermand, age 86 of Salem passed away Wednesday, April 5th in the NJ Veteran's Memorial Home, Vineland. Born in Everett, Washington, he was the son of the late Jesse and Bessie Hurn Temmermand. Jim served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 253 Cpl Joseph C. Toulson. He was a truck mechanic for Horner-Mack of Pennsauken; he also worked for Swanson Hardware of Vineland in the small engine and parts department. Jim enjoyed fly fishing and fly tying and he was a member of the South Jersey Fly Fishers. He attended the Quinton Baptist Church where he was a member. Jim is survived by his step-children, David Bryson of Williamstown, Joanne Bryson of Williamstown and Richard Bryson of Blackwood; his beloved sister, Marilyn Izatt of Hoquiam, WA; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara Downing Temmermand.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 15th in WOODSIDE FUNERAL HOME, 34 Oak Street, Salem where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Burial with military honors will be held at the Salem County Veteran's Cemetery, Pilesgrove. Contributions in his memory may be made to the South Jersey Fly Fishers, 112 East Wolfert Station Rd., Mickleton, NJ 08056 or to the Bayada Hospice, 603 North Broad St. Suite 301, Woodbury, NJ 08076.
